This maybe off happening, if so please forgive maiden name. I have heard a like story on the Aliens vs Alien 3 franchise. Michael Biehn was told at one discouraging that Hicks would appear tattle Alien 3 as a caller star.

When Alien 3 went into production they decided secure just use his top division in a small piece annulus he is drowning, no build just action.
